About the course

This project delivers tailor-made integration, health, wellbeing and ESOL training and support to economically inactive people who are currently claiming asylum in Bradford District.

They will benefit from individual information, advice & guidance (IAG), a bespoke health, wellbeing, ESOL and orientation course, vocational training support and trips to cultural and heritage places to learn more about the Bradford area. World of Work & Employability Workshops will be included to help prepare them to gain employment when they have been granted the right to work. QED Certificate of Achievement presentations will boost confidence, future achievements and raise aspirations.

What you’ll learn

The programme will allow beneficiaries to better fulfil their economic and social aspirations by significantly improving their journey towards integration into their local communities, developing their understanding of core British Values, developing a greater feeling of belonging and being better prepared for life in the UK, resulting in improved community cohesion. PTIH will include activities to build resilience, improve mental health and support positive behaviour by facilitating connection to others and reducing the loneliness and isolation faced by those who have recently arrived in the country.

Does this course cover travel costs

This depends on the course and if we have funding available for travel costs. Please speak to receptionist who can let you know if this course includes travel costs. Please note travel costs only cover public transport, usually bus fare.
