Women who have participated on QED’s programmes both in London and West Yorkshire met the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Women, Equalities and Early Years, Caroline Dinenage at her offices in London on Wednesday 25th January 2017.

The purpose of the visit was for the Minister for Women and Qualities to hear about the experiences of third country national women who have settled in the UK as spouses.

The ladies shared their experience of settling in the UK and how taking part in language, citizenship and integration programmes at QED helped them to gain confidence and understanding of the society in which they are now part of.

The Minister was delighted to meet these ladies and took a lot of interest in their contribution and was grateful they had attended the meeting, so much so that she kindly organised a tour of the House of Commons for our ladies!
